A car hit our building today. RIP Durango and Malibu.
My desk is about 10' inside where it hit, but I was in our conference room when it happened. The whole building shook really hard on impact. It seems like a 30+ mph impact.
The Dodge is wedged between our building and the light pole all the way into the driver side door... and that gap is about a foot narrower than the Durango.
The building seems mostly unscathed surprisingly, but we think the wall may have shifted slightly, luckily it’s non load bearing.

Interesting. The impala (or whatever) was hit on it’s right side, but it’s a one way street with traffic coming from it’s left....
But based how the dodge hit the building I kind of doubt the chevy hit him and turned him 90 degrees like that. Since he would’ve had to have hit his rear (thus spinning him the other way) to damage his right side.
But I’m no expert.

Not sure, but we didn’t hear any tire squeal so we think the Durango and Malibu hit at full speed.

Maybe the malibu was on the one way and made a left, but didn’t see the durango or the durango ran a light. The front right of the malibu hitting the driver side of the durango at an angle causing the durango to veer off into the building.

I’m thinking the Durango was coming towards the camera and the Malibu was coming from the one way street. They hit in the intersection and the Durango is forced over and hits between the building and the post while the Malibu is spun 90* and ends up in the middle of the lane.

I’ve got too many meetings today (and the rest of the week) for that.

I’d guess the Malibu was coming from the one way and the Durango was coming from far side towards me. Durango’s momentum turned the Malibu when the Malibu hit it broadside.

Don’t forget the new meeting where they now have to gather everyone together and explain that 1) Yes, there was an accident out front and 2) No, that doesn’t change the schedule for the week.

Nah, we’re all aware and with our crazy workload nobody’s gonna try to push anything off.
